Lymphatic drainage massage

The lymphatic system of a human is a network of tissues and organs made up of lymph vessels, lymph nodes and lymph that drain lymph fluid (a fluid containing white blood cells, water, proteins, salts and lipids) from all over the human body.
There are lymph fluid nodes in your body that you can likely feel under your arm (in your armpit), in each groin (at the top of your legs) and in your neck.
There are also lymph nodes you may not be able to feel, such as those found in your abdomen, pelvis and chest.
Other lymphatic body organs include your spleen, thymus gland, tonsils and adenoids.

It has three main functions:

  • The removal of excess fluids from human body tissues
  • Absorption of fatty acids and subsequent transport of fat,  to the circulatory system
  • Production of immune cells

How does it work?

Removal of extraneous products
Lymph fluid drains into lymph capillaries, which are tiny vessels. The fluid is then pushed along when a person breathes or the muscles contract. The lymph capillaries are very thin, and they have many tiny openings that allow gases, water, and nutrients to pass through to the surrounding cells, nourishing them and taking away waste products. When lymph fluid leaks through in this way it is called interstitial fluid. Lymph vessels collect the interstitial fluid and then return it to the bloodstream by emptyin it into large veins in the upper chest, near the neck.

Fighting the infection

Lymph fluid enters the lymph nodes, where macrophages fight off foreign bodies like bacteria, removing them from the bloodstream. After these substances have been filtered out, the lymph fluid leaves the lymph nodes and returns to the veins, where it re-enters the bloodstream.

What is Body Wrap?

For centuries, spa body treatments have been embraced for their revitalization and therapeutic effects. These treatments detoxify your body, destress your mind and revitalize your skin.

Exfoliate Before Body Wrap

It’s important to open the skin pores before performing the body wrap, so we exfoliate the areas that will be treated. This ensures that the formula we apply to your skin prior to wrapping is absorbed down to the deepest layer of the skin. We also brush the skin, and apply a pre-wrap lotion on your body to ensure you get the most out of each wrapping session.

Exercise And Diet

In order to get the most out of your body wrap session, a healthy lifestyle is essential. Your body needs to be worked effectively from the inside, and your circulatory system must be in top form as well. Eating a clean diet, exercising regularly and performing two weekly body wraps is a proven combination that will help you lose weight and allow you to feel great.

The skin is the largest organ in your body, so you want to take care of it. To keep your skin looking fresh and vibrant, you need to remove dead skin cells on a regular bases.
